Animal Husbandry

Tailor-made training for animal production and livestock professionals

Poultry farming
Aeres Training Centre develops tailor-made animal husbandry and livestock training programmes for professional groups and organisations worldwide. Our expertise covers poultry, pig and cattle production, animal nutrition and feed production, and insect rearing.

Learning by doing

Based in the Netherlands and working internationally, we combine practical agricultural expertise with knowledge from education, applied research and the livestock sector. Aeres Training Centre is a Training and Consultancy Unit of Aeres University of Applied Sciences and Aeres Vocational Institutes. Our approach is based on learning by doing. Participants do not only gain new knowledge: they work with practical cases, real-life production challenges, demonstrations and hands-on assignments that help them apply what they learn in their own professional environment.

Every programme is tailor-made. Together with your organisation, we determine the learning objectives, content, level, duration, location and practical components.

Tailor-made livestock training

Livestock production differs from country to country, organisation to organisation and farm to farm. That is why we do not offer a one-size-fits-all approach. We develop each training programme around the needs of your organisation and participants, from focused technical training to broader programmes on livestock production and management. Training can take place at Aeres in the Netherlands, at your location or through a combination of learning formats.

  • Strengthen yourself

    Connecting theory with everyday realities

Practical application is at the heart of our training approach. Our trainers connect theory and current knowledge with the everyday realities of livestock production. Participants work with practical examples, sector-specific cases and real production challenges. Depending on the programme and location, training can include practical sessions, demonstrations, farm visits, excursions, group assignments and case studies. This helps participants move beyond understanding a subject to applying new knowledge in their own work.

Develop the expertise within your organisation

Strong livestock systems depend on professionals who can combine technical knowledge with practical skills and sound decision-making. Aeres Training Centre helps organisations strengthen that expertise through tailor-made training in animal husbandry, livestock production and feed. Whether you want to develop the skills of farmers, technical specialists, advisors, educators or other professionals, we work with you to create a programme that fits your sector, participants and local context.
